Day-1

Yangon - Bago - Kyaikhtiyo

Arrival at Yangon International airport, with a warm welcome by our representative and proceed to Bago, the ancient Mon Capital. Firsly, visit to Shwemawdaw Pagoda, over a thousand years old; its spire is even taller than Shwedagon Pagoda, The Hanthawadi Palace: Kanbawza Thadi, the famous palace of King Bayinnaung (1551 – 1581 A.D.) is being extensively excavated and some buildings are being rebuilt. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then drive to Kin Pun Base Camp (194 km) from Yangon and proceed to Kyaikhtiyo the Sacred “Golden Rock”, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. From Kin Pun Base Camp, we have to drive 11 km to the intermediate point by Local Truck and proceed to the summit by palanquin, check in at hotel. Visit Kyaiktiyo; Golden Rock, watch the beauty of sunset or dawn at this important pilgrimage site. Dinner at the local restaurant.

Day-2

Kyaikhtiyo - Bago – Yangon by coach

After breakfast, return to Yangon. On the way back to Yangon, sightseeing at Bago. Visit the 55 meter long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha image is among the country’s most revered and Kyaikpun Pagoda in the form of four gigantic Buddha images all in sitting posture facing the four cardinal points of the compass. They are seated back to back against a massive brick pillar. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Yangon through rural landscape of paddy fields and small villages. In Yangon, visit to the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats!. Dinner at the local restaurant.

Day-3

Yangon - Bagan by AM flight

After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. On arrival, you’ll be taken to Shwezigon Pagoda a prototype of later Myanmar stupa. Then to Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural pain-tings of Jataka scenes. After that, transfer to Hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, visits lacquerware industry where you can study traditional Myanmar lacquerware making, Shwe Gukyi temple, the higest temple of Bagan “Thatbyinnyu”, Dhammayangyi, a massive temple with the finest brickwork, Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images, a captive king's impression of life in prison; Nanpaya, an Early-style temple with the finest stone carvings. Although it has spots lights installed, it would be safer to bring your own touch as electricity supply can be shut-off from time to time, the Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross. Lunch and dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at The Floral Breeze Hotel or similar hotel.
(In Bagan there are more than 2000 temples & stupas. Indeed it is difficult to cover all temples within limited time. Therefore we have carefully selected only some major temples for you in order to avoid hectic tourism. But if you want to see more temples, just let your guide or driver knows. They can show you as much temples as possible within your stay.)

Day-4

Bagan - Mandalay by AM flight

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. On arrival to Tada-Oo International Airport, you will be proceeding to an ancient city of Amarapura, 11 km south of Mandalay highlighting Mahagandayon Monastery, Bagaya Monastery with a famous collection of Buddha images. Then proceed to 1.2 km long U Bein Wooden Bridge, built since 1782 with over 1700 huge teak pillars, is one of the worth visiting sites. The clients can have leisurely walk on the 1.2 KM long bridge. Then proceeding to famous Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most sacred Buddha Image in Mandalay. Then a short visit to Gold foil making cottage industry. Check-in at hotel and followed by lunch at outside local restaurant.

After lunch you will be enjoying Mandalay afternoon sightseeing that begins with Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the World’s Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Tour continues to Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset view.
It is worthy to have a stroll up the hill enjoying panoramic views from different location. Return can be made by car as there is also a car track by the base of elevator just before the platform. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at The Hotel 78 or similar hotel.

Day-5

Mandalay - Heho (Inle) by AM flight

After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Heho. On arrive, transfer by car to Nyaung Shwe (45 minutes) check in at hotel. Excursion to Inle Lake (by jetty boat), famous for its unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty. Lunch at outside local restaurant and tour highlights: Paungdaw Oo Pagoda; wonderful floating gardens; Nga Pe Chaung (Jumping Cat) Monastery, silk and cotton weaving factories, Silver smith and the famous Paung daw oo pagoda, the cheroot industry, boat making factory, black smith etc, Stilt house villages life on the lake. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Sandal Wood Hotel or similar hotel.

Day-6

Nyaung Shwe - Heho - Yangon by AM flight and Yangon – Bangkok by PM flight

After breakfast, check out at your hotel and then transfer to airport for flight to Yangon. Visit Botataung Pagoda, a famous landmark on Yangon’s waterfront where one can see Buddha's hair relic, Bogyoke market- a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products but of special mention is the beautiful exotic “Shan Bag” velvet slippers, lacquer ware, Gems shops and all sorts of handicraft. Lunch at the local restaurant. Visit Giant sitting Marble Buddha Image called Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, 37 feet wide, 24 feet high and weighs 600 tons, and white elephants. Then transfer to Yangon international airport. If you have time, visit Kabar Aye Pagoda, which is significant for its Sixth Synod which was held in its large compound in 1954, Mahapasana Cave, located in the same compound.
